Here at Fareham swim School we offer a wide range of adult swimming lesson options to suit all abilities and needs.

Our swim school has specialised in adult learning for the last 25 years, so you will feel very well understood and looked after from start to finish when you come to us.

Our pool is a wonderful purpose built pool, heated to 33 degrees and is all one level.

Our lessons follow our own 7-step beginner to swimmer programme that has seen 1000s of adults every year conquer their fear and finally swim. We have adults travelling to us from across the UK and Europe to learn with us.

Our lessons are suitable for very nervous/water phobic adults, complete beginners and those looking to improve their stroke generally.

All of our adult lessons are completely private and bespoke to the individual learning. During your lesson there are no spectators on poolside and no one else in the pool except you and your specialist adult teacher. This gives you the confidence to learn without concern of anyone watching your session.

For weekly lessons we have a range of options to suit your needs:

• 30-minute lessons
• 60-minute lessons
• 90-minute lessons

Intensive Adult Swimming Courses

If you have a deadline to learn or want to improve very quicky, then we also offer intensive Courses. These courses are perfect if you live a distance from the swim school, as we can also offer local accommodation options.

Intensive courses are strictured as follows:

• 2 days – this is for adults that can swim but struggle to breath. If you are usually fit and find after a length you are out of puff, this course is for you. We will take your stroke apart and rebuild it with better technique, allowing you to get more air and have more stamina to swim for longer.
• 3 days – perfect for improvers that just want to generally look and feel better in the water, we can iron out coordination issues, breathing concerns and kick, giving you an a all-round better stroke and ability to swim for a longer time.
• 4 days – ideal for beginners that are not afraid of water but can't swim. We will take you through our beginner – swimmer 7-step programme.
• 5 days – ideal for water phobic or very nervous non-swimmers.

Each course is 90 minutes per day of completely bespoke adult lessons Just you and your specialist adult teacher in the water. Our intensive courses are available 46 weeks per year but tend to be fully booked 12 weeks ahead. Please contact us for more information and a no obligation quote.
